In this introduction to Natural Law, Audrey draws on these sources as well as scripture and personal experience to outline this framework and demonstrate its powerful ability to help us align ourselves with God's laws in every area of our lives for optimal success and lasting peace.
• The WHY: First Principles as the Foundation of Clear Thinking - As the first key component in the framework of Natural Law, first principles are inherently known to all mankind. As such, they give our lives the all-important "why" for seeking meaning, they provide an important way for us to build a solid foundation for our thinking and are indispensable to building bridges with people of all cultures, races, and faiths.
• The WHAT: Actionable Principles as Guides to Effective Applications - At The Mission Driven Mom we don't just talk about the importance of principles, we build all our programs on them and actually teach moms how to recognize, write, and apply what we call "actionable" principles. • Questions are the Answer: The Power of the 5 Types of Questions - Within the 5 Types of Questions resides key tools for identifying, clarifying, delineating, and applying principles. These questions take us through a logical process of approaching any reading, any study, or any problem in life, and deconstructing it to uncover the hidden truths and find appropriate applications of them in our lives. When we understand and utilize these questions to their full extent, we truly have the power to be the truth seekers we long to be.
• Principle Questions: How They Help Us Hone In On Principles - As one of the 5 Types of Questions, principle questions can be one of the most difficult to ask and answer. This presentation and workshop takes a deep dive into specific strategies we can use today to pierce the confusion and find the principle.
• Interdisciplinary Questions: The Bridge from Principles to Applications - These questions provide the evidence for the truths we've discovered. Through making connections to readings, scripture, life experience, conscience, and other resources, we see different aspects of the principle. Even better, our faith in its ability to bless our lives is deeply strengthened and our motivation to apply it grows exponentially.
• Application Questions: The Gateway to Living the Principles - Once we find ourselves with the necessary clarity and excitement to live a specific principle, the challenge we face is to find ways to apply that principle to our unique life circumstances. Using the outline and valuable questions presented, we can zero in on those actions which will be most effective for us and begin the process of "practicing the principles" until we get them right.
